NOT Materiality is an exploration in fusing visual and tactile senses in ways that do not meet initial expectations. Through the manipulation of materiality, imagery, and environment, the viewer is met with physical matter that opposes their memory of reality and heightens their visual and tactile perception. In an ever increasing hyper technological world, where we have invented ways to replicate almost anything, the juxtapositions and tensions in this work are meant to question the concept of the faux. As advanced as we have become, we will never be able to recreate all the wonder that is nature.
